ROCKVILLE, MD, February 6, 2007 -- PR News has identified the year's most outstanding communications initiatives in the legal commmunity with the unveiling of the winners of the annual Legal PR Awards. The winners, from law firms to PR agencies nationwide, have made a strong case for the strength of public relations and community outreach in better positioning both law firms and communicators involved in litigation communciation.
"PR and marketing professionals working in or behalf of law firms are in unique positions as communicators and are finally being recognized for their hard work," notes Diane Schwartz, vice president and group publisher of PR News, the industry's weekly publication for communicators.
This year’s winners, recognizing initiatives in 2006, are law firms as well as PR agencies both large and small that have proven to be innovative and smart in the way they’ve communicated mergers, crises, and charitable initiatives. The awards also recognize organizations that have effectively managed or mitigated a crisis.
