Power Industry Leaders Set for Launch of ELECTRIC POWER 2008 Conference

BALTIMORE. January 10, 2008 – Six of the power generation industry's top leaders have been confirmed to participate in ELECTRIC POWER 2008's Keynote CEO Roundtable. The ELEC-TRIC POWER Conference & Exhibition, the world's leading conference for the power generation industry, will return to Baltimore, May 6 - 8, 2008, to celebrate its 10th anniversary. More than 6,000 people are expected to visit the event's 100+ sessions and more than 500 exhibitors.

"We are thrilled that we have been able to assemble such a prominent panel of senior-level ex-ecutives to set the tone for our 10th anniversary event," said David I. Johnson, Executive Direc-tor, ELECTRIC POWER. New nuclear initiatives, the role of renewable energy and fossil fuels and the challenges and opportunities of generating power in a carbon constrained world will be among the big issues discussed during this interactive panel discussion which will include questions from the audience.

The Keynote CEO Roundtable will be moderated by Robert Peltier, Ph.D., PE, Editor-in-Chief, POWER magazine and will feature the following panelists:

Thomas V. Brooks, Vice Chairman, Executive VP, Constellation Energy.
Thomas V. Brooks was recently named President of Constellation Energy's newly created, inte-grated merchant organization that will leverage the strength of the company's industry-leading competitive platform. Baltimore based Constellation Energy owns 8,700 MW of capacity in eight states, using nuclear, coal, natural gas oil and renewables technologies.

Bill Carnahan, Executive Director, Southern California Public Power Authority
The Southern California Public Power Authority is a joint powers authority consisting of 10 mu-nicipal utilities and one irrigation district. SCPPA members deliver electricity to approximately 2 million customers over an area of 7,000 square miles, with a total population of 4.8 million. SCPPA was formed in 1980 to finance the acquisition of generation and transmission resources for its members.

Milton B. Lee, CEO & General Manager, CPS Energy
CPS Energy is the Nation's largest municipal-owned gas and electricity utility. The company serves the greater San Antonio, Texas, area and generates power from plants using coal, natural gas, nuclear and renewables. They have committed to provide 15% of their peak demand from re-newable energy by 2020.

Michael G. Morris, Chairman, President and CEO, American Electric Power
AEP is one of America's largest generators of electricity, with more than 5 million customers in eleven states. The company has more than 20,000 employees and approximately 80 generating stations with a capacity of 36,000 MW from coal, natural gas, nuclear and renewable fuels.

James E. Rogers, Jr., Chairman, President & CEO, Duke Energy Corporation
Duke Energy owns 28,000 MW of regulated generating capacity serving five Mid-Atlantic States. In addition, the company's merchant unit has 8,700 MW and it owns approximately 4,000 MW of capacity in Latin America. Mr. Rogers has been an outspoken advocate of the need for industry to respond to the challenges of global warming.

Jeffry Sterba, Chairman, President and CEO, PNM Resources, Inc.
PNM is New Mexico's largest utility and a supplier of merchant power to the Western states. The company has made a commitment develop a sustainable energy policy.
